Introduction

The MOLE tutorial store is an online manual for MOLE. It contains a selection of how-to guides as well as guidance on using certain types of content in your MOLE courses. It works like an online shop - you select the tutorials you are interested in, click a button and it will combine them into a manual which you can either save to your computer or print out and work from. The tutorial store is always available helping you to construct your courses at a time convenient to you.

This online manual is available in addition to the MOLE consultation sessions available from the LeTS Online Learning Advisors. If you would prefer to talk to someone about building your course in MOLE please contact us on mole@sheffield.ac.uk.

There are different ways of finding the tutorials you need:

  • Quick start guides
These are groups of tutorials which have been selected for you and contain all you need to know about common tasks, such as getting started. We hope to add to these as time allows.

  • Interactive course planner
If you don't know what is available in MOLE but know what you would like to provide your students with, this a good place to start. A selection of questions guide you through what you can do in MOLE and the wizard adds the appropriate tutorials to your manual.

  • Tool by tool guide
If you do know which tools you'd like more information on, this is the option for you. The tools are grouped in the same hierarchy as they have in MOLE to make them easy to find. You can preview the tutorial online and add them to your manual if you choose.

  • Quick select option
If you know exactly what you want and don't want to preview the tutorials before adding them to your manual go to this option. Just tick the options you want and review your manual.

When you've selected your tutorials you just review your manual and print, save or work from the screen.

If you have any comments about the content of the tutorial store or think we have overlooked something please let us know: mole@sheffield.ac.uk.
